This is a very interesting article by Cnet talking about Facebooks new Beta to re-engineer their Status Updates on your Facebook home page. In a short nutshell, Facebook is going to give you Privacy options on each update, that will allow you to select who can see your feeds, very much like they do with your friends groups and photo albums.
You will be able to set the filter to say that “Everyone” - “My Network” - “Friends of Friends” or only “Friends” can see the posting. I can see how this could cause some snafu’s for people who don’t select the right setting, but that is just going to teach a person a valuable lesson that if you’re going to put something out there, you sure as hell better know who can see it and who can’t.
