I was reviewing our latest website project with one of my friends and he suggested that I get some “User Testers” that will test the site and give feedback. He gave me a company called Usertesting.com easily enough. So I decided to signup and test it out after watching the Video Demo of a actual user tester, testing Trip Advisor.

Each tester records their session on your site with their audio and you can visually see where their mouse is with a tracker. They also submit a written report of their session on your site.

I can see this being a very valuable service for new websites, new web applications, etc.

Their prices are pretty reasonable as well. It’s $29 per user tester and you actually get $10 off your third tester for your first order. I signed up for 4 testers, so we’ll see how it works out.

The site was actually created by Evan Williams, Co-Founder of Twitter, so that had some credibility with me right off the bat.
